Fly-In Backcountry Lodge Hiking Trips

Canadian Rockies – backcountry Hiking trips

Multi-day hiking trip, Lodge-based, Family & Friends

The Canadian Rockies  are some of the wildest and most beautiful mountain ranges still left.

If you really want to get away from it all, but do not want to carry camping and cooking gear into the wilderness, a fly-in backcountry lodge is the perfect solution. British Columbia, just at the border with Alberta, has many stunning backcountry lodges that are accessible by helicopter (and sometimes also by 4-wheel truck). These make a perfect home base for daily hikes, big or small, or just a perfect get-away to relax away from daily live and stress.

There are several lodges we have used in the past, from Talus Lodge to Icefall Lodge, and it all depends how remote you would like to be, and how travel logistics work. We can create itineraries based out of one lodge, or a mixed itinerary that includes 1-2 lodges, as well as some days in the valley as preferred.

– Due to the Canadian Rockies being very popular amongst hikers, it is recommended to book a trip between October – December the prior year to ensure we can still get bookings in all the hotels as needed.
